Anandi is playing opposite Priyadarshi. Familiar faces like Suma Kanakala and Vennela Kishore are playing key roles in the film. The film, which is set to release on November 21, 2025, comes from producers Janvi Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao. BAPPAM Movie

Plot
The film follows Madhusudhan Rao, alias Madhi, who meets Ramya at a wedding. Their connection seems immediate and genuine. Both families give their blessings, leading to a smooth marriage. Their initial months pass without any hitches.
But Ramya starts noticing strange patterns in her husband’s behavior. Late nights and strange explanations arouse her suspicions. When pressed, Madhi reveals his secret: he steals from houses to solve his financial problems and help his friends. Instead of walking away, Ramya finds herself drawn into this dangerous world and chooses to become his accomplice.
A parallel track follows the character of Head Constable Asha Mary, who takes on the challenge of tracking the couple. The story explores their criminal partnership, the reasons behind Madhi’s choices, and whether the law will catch up with them.

The Actors Fare
How Priyadarshi is in his comfort zone with this role. He brings his usual comedic energy and familiar expressions. I have noticed that he handles lighter scenes better than dramatic ones. The acting feels safe rather than challenging, mainly because the material doesn’t push him to explore new territory.
Anandhi brings interest to her role. Her character travels from a normal, conventional woman to a person involved in thefts. Although Anandi is fully acted, the transformation is quick enough to seem believable. However, she shares a good rapport with Priyadarshi during their love exchange, which adds some emotional weight.
The way Suma played the role of a constable is not memorable. Her strength lies in spontaneous humor, but the scripted lines here don’t give her room to shine. I felt that her character ran in circles without going anywhere meaningful. The repetitive nature of her scenes doesn’t help.
Problems
Where the film really falters is in its second half. Once things are built up, the pace slows down considerably. The plot becomes easier to predict. I find myself asking myself why a woman with strong moral values would turn dramatic without proper motivation.
The emotional foundation feels shaky. In good crime films, you understand why characters cross boundaries, making you sympathize despite their actions. Here, their choices seem driven more by convenience than genuine necessity. The film wants you to romanticize their criminal partnership, but it doesn’t get that response.
The comedy track disappoints throughout. Instead of organic humor growing out of the situations, the jokes feel contrived and stale. Suma’s parts in particular drag, making them tiresome rather than entertaining. The three elements of romance, crime, and comedy never come together into a cohesive whole.
Audience Reaction
Viewer response has been split. Some early ratings online show higher numbers, though these might shift over time. Certain viewers enjoyed the pairing and found parts amusing. Others complained the marketing misled them about what the film actually delivers.
Final Verdict
Premante assembles the right pieces but doesn’t put them together effectively. It starts with promise – likeable actors, an interesting plot – but slowly falls apart due to execution issues.
The director shows potential in individual moments but can’t sustain the quality over the full runtime. The idea of examining partnership through crime has real potential with sharper writing and more confident direction. Instead, it takes the easy way out and relies on humor that doesn’t degrade.
